You will be responsible for curating, testing, reviewing, writing, editing, and publishing engaging content that resonates with our audience. What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Optimization: Write, edit, and optimize high-quality, accurate, and engaging VPN-related articles, including reviews, how-to guides, comparisons, and industry news. Ensure all content adheres to company standards, is thoroughly researched, factual, and backed by reliable sources.
Editorial Oversight & Team Management: Oversee a team of writers, freelancers, and editorial staff to produce original and quality content. Assign tasks, provide feedback, and propose improvements to maintain high editorial standards, and train new writers to meet company expectations regarding quality, structure, and SEO.
Content Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a content strategy focused on VPN topics. Collaborate with the editorial team to align content with site goals, monitor audience feedback, and update content based on data-driven insights to improve relevance and engagement.
SEO & Performance Optimization: Implement SEO best practices in all content to enhance search rankings and increase organic traffic, optimizing for keywords without sacrificing readability.
Industry Expertise & Research: Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the VPN and privacy space. Regularly test VPN services and privacy tools, document findings, and integrate them into user-friendly content to provide in-depth, accurate insights.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Operational Management: Maintain relationships with company stakeholders for timely coverage and manage day-to-day editorial operations effectively, ensuring consistent, high-quality content delivery across all platforms.
Judgment & Decision-Making: Exercise strong judgment to evaluate content, audience preferences, and industry trends, making timely decisions that align with the company’s content strategy and editorial guidelines.
Engage with VPN Service Providers: Establish and maintain communication with teams or CEOs of VPN service providers to conduct interviews and gather insights on the latest developments in the industry.
Build Audience Connections on Social Platforms: Actively engage with our audience by posting updates, sharing relevant content, and participating in discussions through comments to foster community interaction.
Requirements
2 to 3 years of experience in technology writing, preferably focusing on VPNs, cybersecurity, or online privacy.
Prior experience with VPN or cybersecurity-focused publications is preferred.
Strong understanding of VPNs, privacy protocols, IP masking, encryption, and the streaming landscape.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with SEO practices to optimize content visibility and engagement.
Proven skill in conducting market research, analyzing VPN features, and assessing user privacy implications.
Proficiency with WordPress or similar CMS platforms for content publishing.
Experience managing a team of writers, ensuring content quality, and maintaining a consistent tone and style.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, and work independently especially in remote work environments.
You must be a motivated self-starter who can independently prioritize projects and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
